VeganMoFo: I made KALE CHIPS.

I had a few kitchen triumphs and one disaster today... First of all, I told myself I had to make simply TOO MANY dishes today. So I set myself up for disappointment when I only made three. How silly is that? Well, I'm gonna break those three recipes up into separate blogs ('cause that's just how I MoFo), but here's a delicious and spontaneous lunch I made to replace my blunder:

I call it a:

Creamy-Sweet Sausage Bagel Sammy

1 bagel, toasted
1 small handful from a tube of Gimme Lean Sausage
2 thin slices of sweet onion
2 T olive oil
1 sprinkling of Italian Daiya
1 small handful spinach
1 drizzle pure maple syrup
1/2 avocado

This was so good, folks... the sweetness of the maple with the creaminess of the avocado & Daiya went so well with the mild spiciness of the sausage. Deffers making this again. Hooray for another impromptu success! *high fives self... which is just clapping, if you think about it*

Mmmmmm, what are these tasty morsels?! Why they are Cake Maker's Tastiest of Kale Chips. And there is plenty of truth in that title. Now, I have never eaten a kale chip before... yet I am definitely turned on to this form of greens-consumption because kale by itself (steamed or raw) has never really made me swoon. But cover it with tahini, sriracha, and nooch and I'm hopping on that train! I used my oven, as I do not own a dehydrator. It still took about 3 hours to get the perfect melt-in-your-mouth consistency, which was indeed time-consuming for such a relatively small yield of chips. But I'd do it AGAIN! Just be warned. Oh, and I think I added a bit too much sriracha, so perhaps my chips will last longer than I thought. Spicy!

I'll let you guys know what's for dessert later... ;)
