Does anyone else out there enjoy those lists of “lifehacks”? You know the ones: re-grow scallions in a cup of water from the leftover bulb ends, color code your keys with nail polish, repurpose old glass containers into glitter lanterns? They’re all pretty swell, but there’s something about a healthy dessert in a glass (and for breakfast, mind you!) that’s the biggest lifehack of them all.
This smoothie features banana, pineapple, lemon, and coconut. Just like the tropical adult beverage, these flavors combine to bring your taste buds to your happy place. Isn’t that how we should all wake up each day? Enjoy!
Pina Colada Smoothie
1 frozen banana
1/2 c frozen pineapple
1 1/4 - 1 1/2 c almond milk
2 Tbs coconut butter (or 3-4 Tbs shredded coconut)
juice of one lemon (reserve some zest for garnish)
1/2 scoop SunWarrior Vanilla Protein Powder (optional)
