Who doesn't love peanut butter?! (My most sincere regards for those with allergies... life is so unfair!)
Peanut Butter & Co. has offered a variety of different flavors and attitudes of the nutty spread for years now and sadly, at times, I forget the brilliance of their products.
At this year's
Vida Vegan Con, PB & Co. had a huge presence, offering all sorts of snacks throughout the conference which featured their signature flavors.
As a wonderful offer to the bloggers present, PB & Co. offered to send 3 flavors for review and a giveaway to readers. I selected The Heat Is On, White Chocolate Wonderful, and Cinnamon Raisin Swirl.
Have you ever checked out the rest of their flavors? While not all of them are vegan, the majority of them are, and each lend a unique take on sweet and savory!
With the Cinnamon Raisin Swirl variety, I added about 1/3 cup of the spread to Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free Pancake Mix. This was completely on a whim, but a fantastic move! Very much recommended.
The White Chocolate Wonderful flavor went directly onto bananas, mostly, and into a cookbook tester no-bake cookie recipe. Oh, yum. So sweet and creamy.
Feeling slightly nervous, yet oh-so-intrigued about The Heat Is On variety, I decided this would likely shine in a savory, spicy peanut sauce dish. My
Spicy PDX Bowl of Goodness was perfect! For the sauce, I mixed about 1/3 cup of the PB with water and a small amount of Vegenaise until it reached a creamy, smooth consistency. It turned out wonderfully, and lemme tell ya... this stuff is HOT! Flavorful and spicy at the same time, it packed a much bigger punch than I had thought! Can't wait to try this in more dishes.
